As Siemens Science Day enters its fourth year in 2009, we are pleased to announce an exciting, digital expansion of the program and a new partnership with Discovery Education. The Siemens Science Day website hosts 10 new hands-on activities – all with easy to procure materials. Ten additional activities will be added in the spring semester of the 2008-09 school year.
Partnering with Discovery Education provides us with an instant platform to reach today's 21st Century Learners with media rich, engaging curriculum that inspires and informs today's youth. Each lesson plan will be partnered with an exciting video from Discovery. This digital expansion of the Siemens Science Day program will allow us to reach students and educators in areas of the country where we don't have Siemens employee volunteers. However, volunteer involvement will continue to be the cornerstone of the Siemens Science Day program.
