More than 100 of the country's brightest High School students are still in contention for the nation's most prestigious scholarship in original research. On Oct. 24, the Siemens Foundation announced the Semifinalists and Regional Finalists for the Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology.

In another record-setting year, 1,893 students registered to enter the Siemens Competition this year with a total of 1,205 projects submitted – this includes an increase of more than 10 percent in team and individual project submissions and over 16 percent in the number of registrations.
