Siemens Scholars Recognized by Government Officials

Some of our Siemens Scholars have become state heroes! Several Siemens Award for Advanced Placement and Siemens Competition winners have been recognized by government officials.

The Aloha State's own Philip and Lucia Mocz, 2006-07 Siemens Competition National Finalists, Lance Suzuki, teacher winner of the 2006-07 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement (SAAP), and Principal Shaeffer from Mid-Pacific Institute, the SAAP winning high school, met with Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle and were honored at the Governor's Ceremonial Room on August 9. |

Jimmy Ma and Baoquing Zhou, the 2006-07 SAAP winners from Kansas, were officially congratulated by Governor Kathleen Sebelius at the Kansas Capitol Building on July 31. |

Siemens Competition top prize winners Scott Molony, Steven Arcangeli and Scott Horton and Siemens AP winner Alice Gu met with Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen on March 28 and received a proclamation from the State House and Senate. |
In addition, several letters of recognition from governors and senators have been sent to this year's SAAP winners. Great job!
